Aug 15, 2007 12 oz. bottle with Pennant Ale ’55 on the label. Pours a thin clear copper color with an off-white head that diminishes to a flat appearance. Has a sweet nutty aroma with hints of citrus. Flavor is toasty with a hop balance that finishes dry. Easy drinking good beer yet disappointing.

Aug 14, 2007 Pours a hazy amber colour with a small offwhite fizzy head. Aroma is sweet malts, slight citrus hops, and nuts. Initial slight malts and biscuity. Finishing with bitter hops on the palate that is short. Some head retention with a slight ring aoround the glass.

Aug 14, 2007 Pale ale worthy of purchasing an entire case; malty and just the right amount of hops to this brew; crisp and quite refreshing; a very grown-up version of the pale ale style. A good beer you can have for lunch!

Aug 11, 2007 May 2005 - Poured golden brown with a small head. Looked identical to the Newcastle Brown I poured for my dad at the same time. Little lacing. Hoppy aroma, but not very hoppy taste. Kind of bland with some kind of funky aftertaste (not skunky) that I can’t quite describe. Not my favorite ale in the world...and for one described as an English Pale Ale, does not match up with others I’ve tried.

Aug 7, 2007 Amber colored, sweet malts and light hops aroma, slightly soapy. Flavor falls a little short, little weak for my tastes. More of an English influenced beer. Malty, and a little rough around the edges.

Aug 7, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours reddish amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is primarily malt, with a bit of hops. Sweet, malty, biscuity flavor. Mild hops. Long, sweet malt finish. Really easy to drink.

Aug 5, 2007 Bottle...not one of my favorites from Brooklyn. Despite its nice color, it tasted a little flat, with a foul-smelling odor. Mostly just malt here. I usually like Brooklyn’s brews but this one ranks low.
