Commercial Description:
Brooklyn American Ale is brewed exclusively for Finland. It has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

355ml Bottle - Amber/copper coloured. Hoppy and slightly soapy aroma with grapefruit and caramel. Fairly hoppy taste with hints of grapefruit and some soapy elements. The finish is hoppy with a moderate bitterness.

bottle 355ml from Aitoo Supermarket during class re-union 040409 light brown tickling carbonation or bitterness then grapefruit .Pleasant aftertaste. Might work for beginners in beer tasting. Only tasty look beer label in my old boarding school ham shop. Good memories about that evening chatting about old memories with old class mate ladies who drank mostly alco pops and ciders.

Bottled. Clear amber, small frothy pale head. Artificial lemony/grapefruit fruitiness on the nose, dishwasher, pretty stuffy and rusty, a bit of that same liver as in Kievari Mämmi. Dull rusty flavor, rotten grapefruit, samarin, very mineral finish, more like club soda. Light bodied, lush carbonation. Unbelievably bulky and stuffy.

Bottle. Pours a clear, deep brassy amber, with a small white head. Aroma dominated by dry, grassy hops. Flavor is a nice mix of mildly fruity malts and grassy, bitterish hops. Some interesting piquant notes arise towards the finish, but I can’t quite put my finger on them. Citrus perhaps. Also, grassy hops turn more herbal in finish. Hoppy aftertaste. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall yet another enjoyable, well-balanced brew by Brooklyn. Refreshing, easy to drink, yet with a lovely good ol’ american hop character. Can’t go wrong with amarillo and cascade I suppose.

Courtesy of Elisabeth, 355ml bottle from a store in Hætta, northern part of Finland. Clear amber body colour topped by a low, white layer. Discreet caramel malts to the nose with hoppy notes. Mild spiced fruits in flavour with a touch of ginger. Abrupt bitter ending. Soft and rather thin on the swallow (shared at a drinking session in Tromsø, 29.04.2009).

Amber color with white head. It is very much like some other Brooklyn Ale’s. Nice taste of hops. I like it.

amber clear, white head. gives a raw feeling, but not entirely in a bad way. Has to be quite cold as when warming up it gets all flat and unpleasant. Nice hops. pine and lemon. Not too bad.

Copper colour, hoppy nose with citrus and pine, caramel malty taste, a bit fruity. A bit watery but also very refreshing. Decent beer and because of the distributor I can even find this in fucking Veteli of all the places.
