Commercial Description:
Brooklyn American Ale is brewed exclusively for Finland. It has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

Bottle. Copper colour with a small white head. Hoppy aroma with pine, citrus and some other fruits. The flavour is pine, fruits and toffee with some bitterness in the finish. Not bad, but I was expecting a little bit more from this.

355 ml bottle. Finland. Reddish amber colour with thin white head. Nice fruity hoppy aroma. Sweet flavour with hops. Watery. I was expecting more from this since Brooklyn Lager is a great beer. Not bad. I guess this is brewed because Alko doesn’t sell the Brooklyn Lager anymore.

Bottled (BB 02/2010). Clear copper color, small off-white head. Bready nose with citrusy hops and fruits. A bit oily palate with crisp carbonation. Light citrus (orange), orange peel, a bit of sweet fruits and notes of yeast. Light brew - flavor is dissapointing - but probably reasonably refreshing sauna beer for the summer.

Beautiful, copper-brown beer with small and white head. Aroma is pleasant, lot of tropical fruits, some bitterness and pine needles; Cascade and Amarillo won’t let you down. Fruits are gone from the flavour, and there are some bitterness, pine needles, grass and simple taste. Quite easy to drink but not watery. Apperance and aroma was promised quite a lot but flavour was slightly disappointment, anyway quite nice beer that I will buy more.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is hops, and rather bready malty. Flavour is bready malts along with some soap and also quite much flowery and earthy hops.

12 oz bottle (as American Ale). Coppery color, frothy off-white head. Fresh hop aroma. Smooth, bitter flavor with citric hops. Very drinkable. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. The aroma is the best part, the taste doesn’t really match up. Not bad, though.

0.355 l bottle from K-market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Copper color. Lime, pine and toffee in the aroma. Dry toffeish and biscuity flavor with some mild fruity-citrusy hops. Biscuity, lemony, salty and bitter finish. Light bodied and somewhat bland.

355ml bottle, like my fellow Finns labeled "American Ale". Nice light amber color. Nose is surprisingly malty at first, with hints of bitter hops. Taste is disappointingly watery, even though refreshing citric hops can be found.
