Commercial Description:
This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, our award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. We use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.

I was happy to find this at my last visit to London! Pours a tar black body with a fine dark tan head. What a beauty!! Aroma is nice and heavy. Lots of chocolate, dark roasted malt, hops, coffee and fruit. Flavor is very full and tasty. It starts with a fruity sourness and ends in a nice bitter coffee and hoppy finish with a fine alcoholic bite. I really love this stuff!

KSBF 08- Black pour with a tan foam head. Dark chocolate and cocoa aroma. Dark roast and full bodied of the style. Malt rich and sense the ABV. Some bitterness towards the finish. Great Stout but not a huge fan of the dark chocolate notes. Still a good drinker.

Tried thanks to Poperinge! What a beer, the inspiration for me to brew my own imperial stout....turned out well but not nearly as good as this! This is an awesome beer, massive chocolate and dark fruit goodness with a hint of smoke!

pours quarter in dark tan head. Looks like interminable darkness. Aroma is full of toasty oats and chocolate with undertones of coffee. Flavor is robust and full off chocolate and roasty toasty oats and coffee. magnificant
