Roasted malt aroma of coffee choccolate and a hint of the bourbon. Powerful coffee choccolate flavor with bourbon but strangely I could not taste the wood. Fair amount of hops bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. Low carbonation, long aftertaste. Boozy bourbon espresso and chocolate aroma. Boozy bourbony dark chocolate and dark fruit with boozy mouth-coating slightly woody finish. The best thing about this beer is its beautiful appearance. Might have been better without the bourbon barrels. Still, nice and rich. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
