Black body with a medium-lasting foamy brown head. More roasty malt flavour with lots of fruit and a long coffee grains finish. Full body is boozy. Nice, lovely roast, weird aftertaste.

Dark brown/black pour...thin brown head. Boozy, choco-malt aroma....smells tasty. Smooth and creamy body, but a tad thin..not bad, but I wanted a bit more fullness. Rich choco flavor...bourbon, vanilla, oaky...all the expected players. Good stuff! hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

fairly black pour with a small tan head... attractive in it’s little snifter...
the nose shows a strange woody funkiness the entire duration of the tasting... sort of medicinal and woody with a huge blast of floral alcohol, toasty malt and chocolate... odd, almost like a bug in the wood which never disappears.
luckily that medicinal note does not show up in the flavor profile for long.... it is however, really chocolate-y, malty and bourbon-y to the point where it becomes unpleasant. other notes include wood like chompin’ on a piece of oak barrel, chalky multi-vitamin pills and a super spicy finish. it has it’s moments where it is really good but most of the time the bourbon is a bit overwhelming.
it is medium bodied with low carbonation. quite easy drinking as it is not thick or syrupy sweet though i don’t want to drink anymore than this little snifter worth. it does get much less offensive as it warms and becomes more like a shot of bourbon with stout in it! 6/4/6/4/14/3.4 theisti (1693), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Pour is dark black with a thick dark tan 2 inch head. Nice settling in the glass, pretty beer. Aroma is roasted malt, chalky cocoa beans, leafy tobacco. Wood is fairly tame, bu present. Some vanilla sweetness and a fair amount of booze in the nose. Taste is the dry leafy tobacco, roast maltiness, some brown sugar and vanilla sweetness, and a finish the features quite a bit of alcohol heat. Palate is dry, dusty, and boozy. Overall nice enough Imply, thanks for sending my my way Tom! Barrios (861), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Smells like bubblegum, vanilla, whiskey, and chocolate. Flavor is roasted, vanilla, and sweet malt. Little sour and sticky on the finish. Good use of the barrels but the stout flavors are not quite bold enough.
