Nose is hopped, but I wouldn’t say overly powerful. Flavor is hopped, yes. You get the pine tones and that syrup like flavor quality to it. But is stays smooth and even and never goes over the line. Feel is thick on liquid and good on the bubble. Overall a verysmooth DIPA and well worth trying. If you want an insane hop bomb, this is not the one. If you want smooth and even and well crafted, this is more your style. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

The aroma is very fruity (hops), and resiny, with Fuggles aroma too. Good body strength, malty, a lot of sugars. Extreme hopping (bitter, fruity, resiny…). One more hop juice. Excellent. nramsburg (207), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 2, 2007 Had this one on cask at Blind Tiger Ale House. Nice temp -- poured to a nice golden color, very hoppy aroma. Hops, though, don’t overpower the on the palate and it’s finish is very smooth. A pretty good balanced ale and I was quite suprised to learn it had such a high alcohol %. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Draught at Tyler’s Taproom in Durham. Pours cloudy orange-gold with nice white head. The aroma is serious grapefruit and is hoppy as crap. The flavor is ultra piney with some grapefruit, orange, garlic, and a tiny bit of cat. Sweet malt backbone, almost like jelly. Moderately bitter finish and clean, hoppy aftertaste. Tons of hop flavor without much harshness. Nice. thenick (746), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2007 Cask @ Blind Tiger, NYC. Pours a nice golden color with a white head. Aroma is largely hops with some fruit, malt, and yeast characteristics as well. Taste is malty in the beginning with a huge Blast (no pun intended, it really is the proper term here) of hops toward the end. The hop character is wonderful and does not take away from the beer in the least. I couldn’t tell at all that this was 8% alcohol, it was relatively well hidden. A wonderful offering. pivo (2537), Germany

Hoppying lingering bitter at the end. Nice British ale style with great hop character. Alcohol was fairly hidden. Nice one.
