Mild switish hoppy honey flavor with a low carbonation and a long dry aftertaste. durhambeer (1242), Durham, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Sample from Durham WBF. Had never heard of this one but quickly found out that "Blast" means "Blast of hops." Subtle this ain’t. Huge hoppy nose; over the top. Malt and tealike taste as well. More golden than orange in appearance. Maybe it was too late in the day, but this was too much for me. dkachur (2437), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Draft Pours a light orange with a huge head, though the girl who was serving had no clue how to pour a beer, so the head is probably overstated. Big citrusy wet-hop like aroma with some pine and resin notes. Taste is citrus and resin hops with an almost cheeselike character. Sticky and full bodied. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Bottle… First Annual Treasure Coast Beer Festival 2008… Hazy, light golden ale with a large, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Citrusy, peppery, perfumy hop aroma with a rumor of dry leather. Medium-bodied and caustic with modest carbonation. Mostly bitter, perfumy and fruity flavor. Crisp, dry finish. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Cask, BSF at the GBBF. Copper, fine white head. Salty, smokey seaweed aroma. Brisky salty bitterness, chewy hops, like chewing on the actual hop cones. Fairly dry hay finish. If you drank this with a cold and couldn’t really taste or smell, this would seem refreshing and the alcohol soft and well-hidden. But smelling and tasting...it’s a mess. I’m amazed a brewer this good makes something this dire and uninspired. Or maybe it just travels really poorly. Rune (2863), Tromsø, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Slight cloudy, amber body with some patches on the surface. Very hoppy smell and taste with the richness of sappy mandarine oranges. Pine bitter ending. Full bodied. Tasty stuff (Third pint, gravicask at Bières Sans frontieres Bar at GBBF, 05.08.2008). | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Good, full bodied beer. Nce thick palate. Full of citrus hops, wish it was a little sharper on my tounge, still extremely enjoyable. MesandSim (5977), London, Greater London, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Darkish gold colour with not much happening in the head department. Decent hoppy fayre but a little too sweet for my liking. Fairly clear alcohol and I’m not overly keen on the malt. Nice lingering bitter finish though.
