hotstuff (3015), Indiana, USA May 1, 2008 Draft at Hot Shotz, Indianapolis, IN. Small head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, and a golden and orange hue. Nose was caramel, hoppy, citrus, and some pine. Ditto for the flavor, but the taste of this beer seemed off for the style and where were all the hops for the style??? Meh. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. Definitely a different taste given the style and didn’t taste quite as fresh as it should have been.

Appear - Deep golden amber. Highly carbonated with persistant white head.
Aroma - Fruity / earth hop aroma. Reminiscent of nectaries and grass. Underlying rich malt toastiness. Mild fruity / banana esters.
Flavor - Rich toasted malt. Assertive hop flavor - earthy / grassy with mectarine / pineapple fruit. Strong hop bitterness in finish.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied and thick. High carbonation with some byte in the finish. Drying bitterness with light astringency. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 25, 2008 This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind an uncarbonated orange brown colored transparent body and a fair lacing. The aroma was mildly hoppy and softly malty. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish. The mellow hop flavor was not worthy of the I2PA label IMHO. graham515 (275), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 22, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Pours a deep gold into the glass with nice white head that lasts. Aroma is full of citrusy hops. Taste is slightly woody with plenty of malt and a sort of stale hop taste. Not bad, but it wasn’t my favorite from the brewery
DeadGuyFrank (316), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Jun 21, 2008 Tastes like a Stone IPA clone, not bad but I think I need to try it again....Lots of citrus hops. elmatador00 (513), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA Jun 8, 2008 Draft at brewery. Pours a opaque brown with a thick white head. Aroma is mostly cascade hop. Tastes of caramel malt and hop mostly. Palate is a little sticky with a strong malt finish. Decent.
