Aug 4, 2008 I had asked for a Brooklyn Lager at the Gramercy Tavern in NYC but was told that this beer had been subbed in for it on the menu for a short time.......The hazy yellow colour and minimal white head almost fooled me into thinking the waitress had messed up my order and brought me a wheat beer.......However, I was in for a tasty treat......the fruity (apple?) aroma prepared my palate for the sweet, caramel malt flavourings that would soon flow over it.....the quality hops in this beer balanced the sweetness and citrus flavourings again had me thinking of a wheat......the lacing on my glass also revealed that this was a quality brew.....excellent!

May 15, 2007 (draft, vintage 2005) White head atop apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, cherry/funk. Taste is medium sweet, cherry, some sour, caramel/butterscotch. Medium body, light stickiness. Bock?

Sep 15, 2006 Draft at DRE. Pours gold with fizzy head. Aroma of fruit, candi sugary makt, yeast, hopcitrus. Tastes sweet, pale malty, with a rich fruity flavor, some candi sugary malt, and some finishing caro syrup notes. Tasty and complex.

Jul 7, 2006 On tap at MacGregors in Henrietta. Blonde pour as the name would suggest. Typical tap head of creamy white froth. Aroma is very mild, maybe because it was served a bit cold. Sweet flavor, light and easy to drink. No hint of the decent alcohol content. A session bock.

Jun 30, 2006 Draft Pours a clear light golden with a decent white head. Nice lacing and lasts okay. Has A sweet aroma of citrus fruits. Decent taste with a slight bitterness. Very light and easy drinking. Not a real strong finish but it still prettygood.

Jun 28, 2006 Nice light citrusy aroma that pours a nice hazy golden color. Tastes of lightly toasted caramel malts, slight hoppiness and citrus flavors and sort of dry makes this really easy to drink. However, this beer doesn’t really stand out to me. Nothing really special.
