Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Pours dark brown with copper edges with a creamy beige head. Aroma is caramel or molasses, Choc. and nut. Smooth and creamy, this beer is very well balanced with the hop and nuttiness of a brown ale and has a nice roast finish. Very good I think.

Nice brown ale. Flavour of nuts, chocoloate and malt. A touch fizzy but certainly an enjoyable beer.

Aroma of vanilla. Balanced dark malt character with a delightfully sweet finish. If I had to complain at all, I’d say it reminds a little of flat Pepsi.

Pours an off-white, almost beige head with legs and a copper ruby body. Smells of brown sugar, some toast, and a hint of sourness. Flavor is the same. Good balance with a slightly dry finish.

Nice aroma of coffee. The taste is sweet, chocolate and hints of coffee. A pleasant aftertaste.

The aroma shows crystal and chocolate malt and earthy hops. It pours a light brown with light fine carbonation and a slight hop lace. The flavor is a nice blend of malts and dry earthy hops with slight acid and a clean, short finish. Overall a drier, hoppier version of the British style.
