Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

12 oz bottle. Caramel light roast and with a floral hop nose. Clear amber brown with small fluffy tan head. Caramel maltyness with touch of roast and floral hop flavor. Finish is mostly dry and slightly roasty and nutty.Medium body and mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours dark brown wth a small tan head. A little lace. Aroma is nutty, malty, and fresh. Taste is of coffee and malts with a slightly hoppy finish. Not bad at all.

Bottled 12 fluid ounces. Appearance: It pours a very dark clear nut brown beer with a small head. Not much lacework. Aroma: A lot of US hops. Sweet with huge amounts of candy floss which is accompanied by hints of walnuts and malt. Flavor and palate: Light to medium bodied. Good hop presence. Nutty. Pretty sweet. Highly drinkable. Low bitterness but with a beautiful hop presence adding a lot to the taste. Some vanilla sneaking in. Dryish finish. Overall impression: Good and very pleasant.

Loved it. Definitely different than an English brown ale. Very smooth. I will keep this on hand in my bar at home.

Thick but shortlived foam. Deep red-brown color. Nice chokolate aroma with some american hops. The taste is very smooth with malts and chocolats without too much bitterness. Beeing a judge in the Swedish home browing competition in this class 2 years ago I think that this is among the smothest browns I’ve had. Defenetly worth drinking.

Reviewed 1/29/2009 (bottle BB Jan 2009): Pours a dark rich colored body with a small creamy tan colored head. Has an aroma of hoppiness, and some sweetness. Has a creamy nutty taste. Some lager taste. Some alcohol. Eh, not a fan. Carbonated.

Bottle and tap. Liked it on tap alot better. Nice look. Dark brown with a light head. Decent lace. Good malty taste. Finishes a bit dry. A good beer.
