Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Bottled(355ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, small to medium beige head, pleasant hoppy flowery nose. Roasted malt, aromatic hops and chicory with touch of chocolate and a bit watery palate. Nothing more nothing less than drinkable.

Bottle. Light bodied, but solid brown ale in every way possible. Dark brown color, but not as dense as many browns. Roasted malty goodness in the aroma, but not very strong. Nice solid chocolate and roasted caramel flavors...just not a lot of them. Solid session brown...not very memorable.

Toasted malts and nuts in the aroma which is rich. Sweet nutty finish. One of the best brown ales I have had in awhile.

Bottled. Fennel and lentil in the aroma, spicy kilned malts, earthy hops. Flavor is diacetyl laced, with notes of hearts of palm and tree bark. Decently complex with interesting flavors but pretty much crappy to drink.

Bottle, Rainhall Drinks co, Barnoldswick. Dark reddy brown. Malty aroma and flavour balanced up with some well placed hops. Sweet caramel and nuts in there too. Solid and very drinkable fayre.

Wow, beautiful brown color with a touch of red. Mahogany just as the description says. Slightly chocolate bitter aftertaste almost like Mexican chocolate. Aroma is a roasted malt with a touch of molasses. A nice brew... Glad that it’s available in Texas now.

Bottled. Poured medium ambery-brown with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma was sweet with caramel and nutty notes joined by touches of earth and brown sugar.. warmth brought out a dash of coffee. The flavor found dry, lightly-toasted caramel and nutty notes with light bitter accents of earth and grass.. tacky finish was semi-sweet and grainy. Light-medium bodied on the palate with and OK flow.. very drinkable but a little boring.

Sample from January 24, 2009 Beer Club meeting. Nearly solid, cloudy, pretty dark brown color with orange hues. Fine head, steady, but slow carbonation. Roasted caramel aroma. In the mouth... crisp and a little hoppy. Numbs the tongue a little for some reason. A solid beer... I’d buy this!
