Oct 19, 2008 Draft: pours a dark brown with a thin tan head, aroma of malt, caramel, taste is malty with some chocolate, pretty bitter as well - I was surprised to see such a hop presence in this.

Oct 19, 2008 I really liked this beer for a brown ale. Lots of caramel and maltyness. All maltyness actually. Rich with nutty flavors, dark, and not one dimensional.

Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a very dark amber color with a small off white head that diminishes very quickly to nothing. The aroma is rich malt with chocolate, and roasted nut. The taste is similar to the aroma with a rich roasted malt with a lot of coffee flavor. Easy to drink and a very good brown ale from Brooklyn.

Oct 5, 2008 Deep brown color with a slightly off-white head. Strong malty aroma with hints of caramel and toffee. Flavor is very similar to coffee ice cream. Too much in my opinion. Not very drinkable.

Oct 4, 2008 Mahogany red color with a nice tan head. Quite sweet malty aroma with burnt sugar and chocolate. Slightly roasted malt flavor with nutty chocolate hints. Smooth finish with a hint of coffe and short aftertaste. Very drinkable with a light mouthfeel.
