Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Draft from Brooklyn Brewery. A thin brown ale, sweet but not overly so, lots of nuts and malt, and some coffee. A good brown ale.

Twelve ounce bottle from Biggs. Dark brown/amber color, nutty/malty aroma, big beige head with good lacing, sweet malty flavor with some nuttiness to keep the sweetness from getting out of hand. One of the better brown ales I’ve tasted.

Bottle. Pours dark golden brown with a off-white head. Hints of coffe caramel and hops especially as it warms with a good roasted malt flavor. Lightly carbonated and very nice palate.

It had a dark brown body with off white head. The aroma was very sweet and so was the flavor. Overall it was a pretty decent beer.

Pours a dark brown, think head and lacing. Quite a lot of hops for a brown. Reminds me a little of a lower test version of DFH’s Indian Brown.

Bottle. This is one of the heavier hopped brown’s that I have had thus far. It is very nutty with a roasted bitterness that cuts through the heavy malts. Delicious.

Nice nutty aroma with some hops. Nice roasted flavor thats not to sweet and not too bitter, with just the right amount of hops. A very nice brown ale.
