Bottle... C&P’sLYFO Throwdown... Pours dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. The aroma provides gobs of caramel and chocolate alongside lesser notes of licorice and light molasses. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with laid back carbonation. The flavor is of caramel, bourbon and cocoa. The bourbon complements rather than dominates. Very nice. Cask at Swift Hibernian Lounge. The nose is quite lovely. Soft vanilla and a bit of cocoa with a kiss of light herbal character. The flavour shows a light peppery booziness over a light bourbon sweetness. There is a touch of rye-like spiciness and a little bit of cocoa on the back. Easy to drink with a nice combination of the malt and the barrel. Soft and sweet but fairly complex. Pretty tasty.

CPLYFO 09. Bottle shared by Miketd!!! Pours a nice brown body with a good head, and some lace. Aroma is lots of sweet smooth nutty and caramel- bourbon- brown sugar, fruity esters, green raisin, plums, new wood- oak vanilla. Flavor is a light yeastiness fruits, lots of bourbo, toasted and nutty malts, hints of chocolate, with a dry light paper hint in the end with a bourbon heat coming through as it warms. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours with a frothy head that settles into a thin sheen. Aroma is bourbon but it doesnt smack you in the face. Flavor is a nice caramel with a soft carbonation and the bourbon complements it nicely. I thought this beer was a crazy idea but it really works.

Bottle from the Otown throwdown. miketd you rock. Nice brown pour wtih a tan colored head. Bourbon smacks your nose upon opening it and keep smacking your nose throughout. Some vanilla, oak and caramel matls are evident but as you drink it the bourbon just kicks ass. What a great beer to try.

Bottle at the Blind Tiger. I was expecting to hate this, but despite it being extremely bourbony it was really quite nice to drink. Had a great pour with a wonderful head, especially for a beer out of a barrel. Very dark brown. Aroma is up front bourbon, but filled with cherry and vanilla, and is very smooth. No heat from the alcohol or spirits. The body is a bit hot though, with a sweet, corny bourbon, mellow and round and robust. Some wheat and bubblegum flavors show up as well — the latter being the only hint this had any Belgian influence at one point. Solid work.
