Black liquid with a small head that was hard to see in the dim lighting. A somewhat roasty/bitter chocolate aroma/flavor. The body isn’t too heavy and the finish is quite dry. It went quite well with my bar food, it didn’t interfere with any overbearing flavors or aroma. Very light and drinkable. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Nice aroma of coffe and roasted malts. Flavor was mostly coffee, but a touch of chocolate and roasted malts is there as well. Finish is dry and leaves you wanting more. Smooth easy drinking. Nice dry stout.. Dogbrick (2906), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2006 On draught at Winking Lizard in Columbus. Pours flat black with a medium and foamy beige head that disappears pretty fast. Thin sheets of lacing. Aroma of malt, coffee and some chocolate. Fairly rich mouthfeel and nicely creamy, with coffee, bittersweet chocolate and hops flavor. A bit of roasted malt in the background as well. The finish is smooth and creamy and has a lingering coffee bitterness. Examples like this or GLBC Wolfhound remind me that this style doesn’t have to be boring. Well done. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2003 A very Guinness-like stout, but creamier, and without the sour finish. This was a good-looking, frothy-headed beer, with subtle flavors of chocolate and coffee. notalush (2690), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2003 Probably the finest American-made dry stout I've had. Tastes very similar to Guinness, but without the bitterness. Slight chocolate undertones with a nice, dry finish. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2003 Dark in colour, but not completely opaque. Definate malty aroma throughout. Good taste, slightly hoppy, but definately malty!! A good overall beer, not overwhelming like a normal Stout, but clean enough to drink a couple of! omnivore (270), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2003 The sample we had was Cask conditioned and hand drawn. Nice color, with a very rich, roasted flavor. The palate was soft, almost buttery on the tongue. A little dryness at the end. TheDarkertheBetter99 (27), Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA
