Although it might be more true to the original IPA style, for me it doesn’t quite stack up to the great IPA’s I’ve been tasting in the states... hirigalzkar (601), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Bottle. Golden amber. Humlig, floury. Metallic bitterness. More metallic than bitter. One dimensional beer without finesse. hopheadfett (50), Oak Ridge, New Jersey, USA

Nose of citrus, pine, and malty, very mild however. Taste is slightly hoppy and bitter, very subtle, if any sweet notes. A bit unimpressed with the flavors, expected more hops per description, but definitely a session beer. chrisv10 (373), Denmark

Third beer I try from Brooklyn not really imporessed, this IPA had too much malt and sweetness countering the hops. Not the best IPA I´ve had (especially after drinking the 60 minute IPA). | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Drank it last nite for father’s day. It is a very solid IPA, a good session beer. It has a very piney flavor, very different from the other IPAs we tasted. Overall good. SaintMatty (1236), Tallinn, Estonia

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Poured out a light burnt orange brew with a subpar sized off white cap and the standard ropy lacing. The aroma overall is not strong but subdued. Oranges, grapefruit and pine are the most dominant aromas but there may be a light woodiness and something else that keeps this from being really enjoyable. With that said, it is slightly different than the standard offering. Taste initially seems softer, dark and sweet but then the hops come roaring in. They are not overpowering but seem to have some extra bitter quality - interesting. Some odd spice is there along with some heavier than normal malts, and weak citrus fruits for the style - maybe even some peaches. Mouthfeel seems thick but smooth. Hard to even say that when you get steamrolled by a truckload of killer hop aftertaste. The carbonation is extremely fine. The aftertaste also has lingering flavour something like spearmint. I prefer my IPA’s more fruity which should make this well below average on my personal scale but it’s just different enough to keep it afloat. I think I have better options for IPA’s.
