Commercial Description:
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

pours amber with a head that fades, and a lacing that lasts. tastes kind of bitter with a well balanced malt taste. after taste leaves my mouth tasting slightly hoppy.

(Bottle) Amber and clear. Small, white and quickly disappearing head. Malts and hops in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, hops, fruitiness, bitterness, some citricness and saltiness in taste. Hoppy and bitter aftertaste.

Draft - Poured a nice looking orange-amber in color with a big white head that stuck around. Some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy with some citrus/grapefruit. Little malt to back it up. Good palate. Finish is bitter and lingering. I really like this one...

Poured orange white hoppy head. Strong hops and citrus. Not very balanced would like to see more body it feels like its missing something. also bottle says 6.9 not 6.8 obviously not a big deal but maybe could be corrected on the site. Not a very noteworthy beer overall

Bottle from Vanessa. Dark orange body with fast-rising bubbles, into rocky white head. Nicely hoppy head. Lots of hops in the taste. Gets a bit citrusy towards the finish. Enjoyable with some fruits too.

After not having for a long time this seems to have gotten better. Nice hoppy aroma. Flavor is quite hoppy, some pine and citrus blended, nice body and great flavor. Solid. Score from 2.9 to 3.4
