Commercial Description:
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Bottle. Pours light amber with a thin but frothy head. Smells like hops with lemon and sourdough bread. Taste is a bit sour, hops and pine in the front with malt, caramel, and orange in the back. Nice mouthfeel, not too carbonated. Decent beer, definitely worth a try.

Pours a light copper color with a white head. Aroma hops, citrus and caramel sweetness. Flavor of the same as nose. Nice balance.

Poured a translucent amber with a medium, but long lasting, light tan head. Little lacing in the head. Aroma was definitely hoppy but not overpoweringly so. Taste caught me by surprise. Hops are there in a citrusy way but I thought I detected hints of oak in there. Nothing overpowering to be had. A fairly short, clean finish as well. Mouthfeel was medium light. Overall a decent pale ale.

Pours clear orange with some carbonation bubbles and medium sized tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is typical fruity hops. Very good, with decent alcohol too. Would buy again.

12 oz bottle. Some hop aromas off this copper colored beer. Flavor was decent malt and some citrus and grassy hops. Not too bad.

Bottle. Copper coloured, a bit unclear, smaller lacy off-white foamy layer, Solid aromatic hoppy - Amarillo - nose with subtle fruity and toasty undertones. Moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied. Lingering aromatic, spicy hoppy finish, balanced by a solid sweet maltiness. A very fine brew..........
