Orange-red pour, some subdued citrus -pine sent with hop notes. A sweet grainy feel with a hops mix. Good flavor for a style that is not my favorite and the aroma didn’t turn me off, actually rather subtle and refreshing. Pinball (2972), Allerød, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2008 a bit of a sour aroma (unexpected). thankfully it didn’t come back in the flavor. Looks great, good taste too, although everything is a bit damped down compared to the best mircobrew ipa’s i’ve encountered. Great balance between sweet and bitter, a bit on the bitter end of the scale, which i like. Alc. totally hidden. Great brew, but the aroma draws down bigtime. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells of citrus and pine. Sweet earthy pine flavor with a bit of citrus. Nice but a tad too sweet for an IPA. mcc5468 (103), USA

I thought it was a very good IPA tasty but I thought the hops were a bit weak. Would buy again biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Poured a nice reddish/golden color with generous white head. Aroma is citrusy piney and floral. Flavor is pretty much the same. Hops dominate but this is not the bitterest of IPA’s. I could have used more hops, but it was a well-balanced and pleasing representation of the style. Nice beer. craftbeerdesign (755), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 7, 2008 sample on 6/5/08, rating from notes. pours a deep golden with white head. brilliant hop character and aroma. Garrett Oliver can really brew... especially in the English style. the citrus hops take control for the most part... a solid clean IPA. kieleszd (83), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Great hop character followed by citrus. Evenly balanced, alcohol is disguised. Overall on the light side for an IPA it complemented an order of nan and Bhun very effectively.
