Commercial Description:
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Bottle, pours a clear copper with lots of bubbles, small white hear that disipates quickly, Aroma good floral and citrus almost sweet. Taste, hit with big floral hops, crisp, grapefruit on the back end that lingers and leaves a good dry mouth feel

35.5cl bottle; Clear, golden colour with a cream-coloured, medium-sized foamy head. Slightly sweet cara-malty aroma with an aromatic spicy, subtle fruity and slightly woody hoppy note. Moderately bitter flavour with a slightly sourish fruity edge, medium bodied with a well-matured carbonation. Solid cara-malty base with spicy and citrus-fruity notes, accompanied by a whiff of licorice. Dry and bitter finish with an assertively fruity and woody hops character and a lasting spicy and malty aftertaste. Quaffable and refreshing stuff. 22.XII.08

Poured amber with slight carbonation and a head to did stick around for a little while. Decent hop aroma with notes of herb and citrus. On mouth this is a lighter medium bodied IPA with noticeable hops on the sides of the tongue. The finish is quick and short lived.

Not a very strong offering from Brooklyn the aftertaste is very bitter and it is not a very good blend of the malts can still taste a very alcohol flavor to this beer and did not enjoy it very much

Hazy orange. Perfumed aroma - dusty hop. The flavour is metallic sweet, full of oranges, grape and other citric nuances.

A: Golden amber in color with a quick fading head. S: Citrus with a hint of cut grass, pretty nice but not overpowering. T: Starts off with a nice sweetness until the bitterness of the hops kick in. Leave a little bitterness on the tongue which quickly fades. M: Light and bubbly

Pours out a nice golden color. Aroma is a noticeable hop character with floral and citrus notes, vibrant but not over powering. Body is medium-light with a comfortable but not particularly powerful hop bitterness. Finish fades quickly though a slight bitterness does remain for a time. Enjoyable but a little light.
