blklab2007 (537), Connecticut, USA Sep 3, 2008 bottle poured a medium amber color with a one finger frothy white head that quickly fell to a thin layer. aroma has sweet grapefruit citrus hops, light pine, faint bitterness from the mild caramel malt, and some sweetness. mouth feel is light with a flat feeling and lack of much carbonation. bitterness tops off the citrus hops, mild minerals, pale malt, and a touch of sweetness. definitely became worse the warmer it got. mirjukka (379), LOHJA, Finland Sep 3, 2008 bottle 355ml 3,05€ from Alko
amber tiny white head. Taste tickling grapefruit pine hops ,malty, bit fruity as well. Well balanced not too agressive matt7215 (564), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 29, 2008 12 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pour orange with a nice white ehad. good lacings. aromas are of tired grassy hops and questionable malt choices. kinda awkward aromas of hot glue on paper made of hops. flavours are slightly better. very grassy and bitter but in an unpleasant way. not a very enjoyable IPA. to bad, i was expecting more from the brew. IPAgain (8), Fleming Island, Florida, USA does not count Aug 27, 2008 Amber in color with small white head. Good aroma including hops, spices, malts. This was a pleasant surprise. Purchased 12oz bottles in Fleming Island, Florida. I’ll be purchasing again. 1_2many (231), Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2008 Alefest sample. I didn’t see the East India on the label at first so I thought this was an impressive Pale Ale until bigmmartin told me otherwise. Then I had to correct my opinion. Citrusy, earthy hops with a llight malt backbone. Flavor is mostly a mild bitterness but with a good mouthfeel and clean finish. Good but not impressive.
