Draft at SD. Light gold with a nice white head served in an over sized wine glass. Aroma is herbal and spicy. Taste is nicely balanced with sweet malts and peppey hops. Banana and cloves round it out. Im glad this was still around. Word has it that it will soon be bottled in Brooklyn.

Sampled at Sunset grill & Tap in Allston, cloudy yellow hue, with a white head, yeasty nose, note of fruitiness, mostly citrus fruits, with a bready dough accent in the aroma follows through on a full-bodied palate with a peaish character, sweet pale malt, floral hops accent, hint of fruitiness, leading towards a long alcoholic warmth finish.

Draught, Avery Strong Ale Fest 2006. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (herbs), with notes of clove and lemon zest. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Pretty easy going and simple, but plesasant.

Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Bright pale gold color with white head. Nose of light grainy malt, sweet sugary bubblegum, bright sour citrus notes, and some faint funkiness in the background. Flavor follows, nicely balanced between citrus tartness and bubblegum sweetness. As it warms, the sweetness subsides and more funky notes appear. Alcohol is fairly well hidden throughout. Finish is yeasty and dry, slightly sour. All in all very enjoyable.

Sampled at 4th Boulder Strong Ale Fest. The beer poured a hazy, light yellow with a small, frothy, white head. The aroma was malty with light notes of toasted grain; hopppy with moderate notes of herbs and lemon zest; yeasty with trace notes of barnyard; light notes of banana, clove, coriander and spicy alcohol. The flavor was moderately sweet, moderately bitter with a long, moderately bitter finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was fizzy with a moderately alcoholic finish.
