| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Draft at Capital Ale House. Light gold in color, slight head, hazy. Aroma of cotton candy. Unfortunately, it has a nose that reminds me of some really bad tripels I’ve experienced in the past. Flavor is sweet and fruity, with apricot, fuzzy peach skins, and more cotton candy. Actually not bad. Sort of like a bad tripel that actually ended up OK. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2006 On Tap at the Old Toad. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin but lasting white frothy head. Aroma is tropical fruits and spices with no hops and the heat is well hidden. The body is med-light. The flavors are med. sweet wih again a great deal of esters pointing towards tropical fruits but no phenols and the alcohol is well hidden. The finish is warming but not dry. I highly doubt that this is listed by Brooklyn as a Strong ale. This is a tripel. It is unfiltered with some color from character malts and it has a great deal of estery spiciness. In addition, it is not in any way a hoppy beer which the Strong Golden Ales are. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2006 Light gold body with a thin white head. Fruity aroma, that is very delacate. Nice taste, fruits with malt and hop accents dominate. Very clean ending. punkrkr27 (635), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2006 Draft, Berkley Front, MI. Pourd a slightly hazy light golden color with a nice foamy white head. Excellent lacing. Smells yeasty, fruity, sweet and warming. Tastes much the same as it smells, lots of candi sugars, very strong alcohol and hop bitterness on the finish help to balance out the sweetness, but are a little too strong. The combination of the alcohol and strond hop finish left a lingering almost metallic like taste in my mouth. BT (85), Newtown, Connecticut, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Wow, this is a really good belgian strong golden ale. THanks to weeare for pouring me a glass off the keggerator! Reminded me of duvel a bit. Pours a hazy golden color with high carbonation and a massive pure white fluffy head which lasts and leaves some of the best lace I have ever seen. Aroma is lightly spicy with hints of coriander and clove, but is dominated by lots of sweet bready malts. Flavor is a bit sweet, but not over the top or cloying, spicy and yeasty. Finish is smooth and dry. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2006 On tap at Cole’s in Buffalo. Bright golden in color with a touch of haze and a snow white head on top. Spicy aroma along with some bubblegum and banana. Light malt as well. Light citrus creeps its way into the flavor with the clove and yeast. Medium to full bodied, alcohol is masked fairly well. It’s there but barely noticible, you don’t think you’ll catch a buzz until you catch one. Nice stuff, pretty well-made Belgian ale. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of citrus fruits, floral hops, doughy malts, spices and yeast. Taste of citrus fruits, cardamom, vanilla, candy sugar, and a yeasty finish.
