Poured a hazy golden color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, floral hops, doughy malts, spices and yeast. Taste of citrus fruits, cardamom, vanilla, candy sugar, and a yeasty finish.

On tap at The Office. Served in a frosted pint glass (too large and cold for the style). Hazy dark yellow color with a soft, white head, aroma was very inviting, spiced. Excellent deep malt presence, but balanced by the yeast (spice) and hop character. Finish is dry and lightly hoppy.

Wow, this is a really good belgian strong golden ale. THanks to weeare for pouring me a glass off the keggerator! Reminded me of duvel a bit. Pours a hazy golden color with high carbonation and a massive pure white fluffy head which lasts and leaves some of the best lace I have ever seen. Aroma is lightly spicy with hints of coriander and clove, but is dominated by lots of sweet bready malts. Flavor is a bit sweet, but not over the top or cloying, spicy and yeasty. Finish is smooth and dry.

Draft at SD. Light gold with a nice white head served in an over sized wine glass. Aroma is herbal and spicy. Taste is nicely balanced with sweet malts and peppey hops. Banana and cloves round it out. Im glad this was still around. Word has it that it will soon be bottled in Brooklyn.

On draught at Gingerman in Greenwich. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Smells lemony with nice underlying tea like hoppy elements. Tastes hoppy with grass, lemons, and a defined sweet malt character. Finish is light and tingly.

On tap in the home kegerator... This is Brooklyn’s version of Duvel. What a great pickup from Exton Beverage. Appears a hazy light gold with a huge pillowy white head that slowly fades out. Leaves tons of scattered lacing all over the glass. Smell is of mild citrus, lemongrass, earth notes, coriander, honey, perhaps some pils and wheat malt, white pepper, and perhaps some mild brett sourness. Taste is of the aromas and a little bit of a flowery, spicey bite to it. I can’t confirm that this has a brett dose in it but it sure tastes like it may. It could be from the blend of raw sugar that they’ve added to this beer, which leads to it’s wine like dryness. Mouthfeel is sugary at first, medium bodied, dry, and very, very fulfilling. I can’t believe this has over 9% abv.
