On tap at the Gingerman. Pours a light yellow orange with a small white head. Aroma is pretty faint but predominately honey. Flavor of Belgian yeast, honey and other fruitiness, very odd tasting. Thick and syrupy texture, almost like a mead. Couldn’t finish the glass. This is an odd, strong, sticky, heavy beer and I did not care for it.

Draught - hazy gold medium head. Wheat yeast etc. Pretty good and quite drinkable IMO.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Hazy golden color with a puffy white head. Aroma is full of wheat, coriander, yeast, grass, and some citrus. Perhaps some grapefruit? I couldn’t really tell. Tasted exactly like a hefeweizen. Lots of wheat and citrus at the beginning with some good citrus and yeast notes in the middle and a very dry and wheaty finish. Not too bad.

[Draft @ Capones] Poured a hazy dark golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of coriander, earthy yeast, citrus fruits, light clove, toasted malt, and some toffee. Taste was citrus fruits, with toffee, yeast, coriander, light cardamom, tart wheat, and drying alcohol in the finish.

On tap at Capones. Pours a light hazy golden with a medium bubbly/creamy white head that laced. Aroma of clove, light banana, some tropical fruits, citurs, wheat, Belgian yeast esters and a sweet maltiness. Flavor was more of the same sweetness, Belgian yeast spiciness, sweet wheat notes, tropical fruits and creamy.

Draft at Redlight Redlight. The pour yields a hazy, tangerine-golden body with a small, foamy, off-white head. Skinny lines and micro-spots of lacing mark the glass. The aroma shows massive sweetness, with candy sugar dominating the nose. Coriander and lemon rind lend tripel-like notes, as do hints of bready yeast and cream. The flavor, like the nose, is overdone with sugary sweetness. Candy sugar and coriander crush everything in their path, with subtle hints of citrus rind and peppery, floral hops coming through on the back end. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, sweet, and cloying. This is basically a tripel, and not a particularly impressive one at that.

Draft… Cloudy golden ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. Fruity, breadsy, very spicy aroma provides notes of orange peel, clove and coriander. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Moderately sweet, spicy, yeasty flavor. Watery finish.
