Aroma is crisp and malty, very refreshing and sweet. The caramel notes dominate over a nice subtle floral hopiness. Flavor starts crisp and clean. Nice sweetness but it never really subsides and continues to dominate over the slight hop bitterness in the finish. Hops are again very floral. Definitely a decent easy drinking beer, just not greatly balanced. wheresthepath (551), Buckinghamshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 12, 2009 My first Vienna style. It’s an attractive beer, pouring orange-amber with a medium-sized lasting creamy head and moderate carbonation. A malty aroma leads into a flavour dominated by sweet toffee malts with (unfortunately) some metals creeping in at the edges. There’s a little bitterness in the finish, along with floral and botannical hints that made me think of the smell of flowerbeds after a heavy summer storm. However, the sweet malt is the main thing here. If this is a typical example of the style, I’d be happy to try some more Viennas - this runs rings around most other lagers! Ooh, I’ve just noticed my rating was the 1,000th rating for this beer - now I feel special! ohad (16), Israel

Aroma: light malt aroma and mainly citrus blossom and mango-like hops.
Appearance: medium amber with a good, thick off-white head that lasts.
Flavor: Starts bready , continues with strong bitterness and hop flavor and ends with malty sweetness. clean lager character.
Palate: medium-low. goes well with general appearance and flavor.
Overall: a great lager! probably the best lager I’ve had. sets a great example to what a lager can be.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Big thanks to Joe McPhee. Pours a clear amber with an abundant tan head and glass-coating lace. Aroma of floral and citrus hops well balanced by caramel malt smells. Truly well-integrated aroma. Flavor is citric, tending towards grapefruit bitterness, on top of of firm, worty malt backbone. Tasty, but falls short of the awesome aroma, sometimes off in a slightly metallic way. Medium bodied, juicy mouthfeel. beerchugger (306), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Pours a nice copper color with a thin white head. The smell is very hoppy with a decent caramelly malt background. Other notes of ginger, spruce and cough drop are also noticeable. This beer tastes of sweet caramel and bitter hops, but also of some flowers and a delicate touch of earth. Finish is lightly bitter.
