Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

A bit darker than I expected. Amber in color. Clean hoppy aroma. Foamy off white head with a piney bitter aftertaste. Overall, a nice effort. I’m glad I finally can get this in TX.

355 ml bottle. Finland. Clear amber colour with small off-white head. Floral and fruity hoppy aroma. Right amount of hoppiness, no overdose. Same goes with the flavour. Refreshing hoppiness. This is absolutely one of my favourites. Excellent. Could drink this everyday.

Look is a golden yellow color with an average white head. Smell is malts, flowers, nice hop character for a lager type beer. Clear and crisp finish. Refreshing and plesant for the style.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 2 Jan 2009) Copper colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, toasty grain and fresh and floral hop aromas. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, apricots, dry grainy malt, slightly toasted. Fresh, floral hops in the finish. Really good balance in this excellent lager. On the thin side though, finish could be a bit longer. Still very nice beer.

330 mL. Pours a light amber with a terrific beige head that sticks around completely leaving awesome lacing. Aroma of floral hops, lemon zest, and pale malt. Taste is bubbly with pale malt and floral hops. This is more like a pale ale than lager. Excellent! One of the best lagers I have ever tried.

Bottle/draft. Good broadly availiable lager in NYC area. Pours amber with a little head. Has a nice hop flavor. Good bar beer and very drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Decent for a lager. Not too much corn flavor. Citrusy lemon on the aromas and flavors. Crisp and refreshing. Not to shabby

bottle. a really nice lager from Brooklyn Brewery... one of the best lagers I have had to date. pours a deep golden with a bit of white head. nice flowery hop aroma. very lively on the tip and top of the tongue with carbonation, hops and some malt. a very nice mix of hops and malts. medium body which finishes with a good bitter crispness.
