Nice mellow nose of bread and just a hint of hops. Taste is light crisp easy drinking with a slight fruity taste. Not a bad lager, and will definitely hip other folks to it! mar (1862), Dallas, Texas, USA

Pours a very nice looking clear amber with thick off-white head. Has a nice malty floral aroma. Flavor is malty, hop flavor, with nice hop bitter. Mouthfeel is light-medium body, high carbonation. Over all, pretty good beer. smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2008 This had a very hoppy scent especially for a lager. It was probably the hoppiest lager that I have had. Very different which is what I liked about it. lightning9191 (82), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Aroma is hoppy and floral. Color is a nice copper. Flavor follows up on the hop aroma and is balanced by a maltiness. A fine lager except I’m not sure what category this belongs in. awiseman01 (358), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Had this in ’06 on tap in times square for the first time and loved it. Trying in now two and a half years later from a bottle and it’s mediocre. It’s amazing what time spent in the upper eschelon of craft beer can do to your old ’favorites’. In this beer’s defence, I think it was a great ’gateway beer’ to explore what else is out there. If you’re just getting into ’craft’ and don’t have a taste for much yet, this is the beer for you. I thought it was wonderfully hopped for a lager, and I credit this beer with opening my tastes to the IPA style (which is now my preference). Give it a try and see where you go. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA
