Pours a clear, pale copper with a dense, creamy, off-white head that leaves behind sticky lace. The nose is of muted toasted malt and a nice compliment of floral hops. Light-bodied without feeling thin, the mouthfeel is soft and clean with a subtle hop bitterness at the finish. The flavor follows the nose: sweet, toasted caramel malt up front backed by an excellent balance of floral hops. This is an exceptionally quaffable and flavor brew. I could easily run through a sixer of this watching a ballgame. Unfortunately, I can’t get it here in KC. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2008 BOTMC Selection: Poured from the bottle into a double-walled pint glass. Pour produced a golden amber body with a pale yellow head of foam which mostly diminished with moderate lacing. Aroma is well-balanced, with a fair amount of hops, providing a floral scent. Dry, bitter taste, with some malting, and a clean bitter aftertaste. Not overly complex, though full-flavored. FLnative80 (174), Orlando, Florida, USA

Decent retention, moderate lacing. A much hoppier aroma than expected for a lager. Some sweet notes in the aroma also. Hops are large in the taste also, along with a vegetal, metallic and slightly salty unpleasant flavor. Interesting stuff. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA
