33 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON. Slightly hazy golden/light amber. Pronounced hop aroma, nice sharp hop bite. Lighter body than hoped for, brief bitter finish. Drinkable and balanced but I’d go with a Three Floyds variety over this.

Bottle from a Brooklyn mix pack. Pours a nice amber, pretty solid white head. Aroma is great: toffee, caramel, with hints of bitter hops. Taste is dry with bits of caramel, toffee and a bitter hop finish. This is better than Great Lakes Eliot Ness.

Bottle; poured a n orange-amber with a medium white head; somewhat creamy. Aroma was great for the style, dominated by flowers and oranges; earthy. Found it to be pretty carbonated. Dry and bitter for the style finish. Toffee and caramel makeup the initial thrust of the beer, then some sweetness and it finishes with grassy and flowery hops. Definitely above average for the style. Surprised it took me so long to try this.

I’ll be damned. A non-skunked lager. I didn’t know it was possible. Better than Sam Adams Bahston Lagah. Delicious brew. I’m diggin it.

Pours nice copper color, with small beige head. Aroma is malty. Flavor has nice balance of the malts and a very nice dry bitter finish of grass and floral hops. Palate is somewhat sticky and leaves a nice lacing behind.

Pours brown with a thin head. Aroma is very malty. Flavor is malty, with some sweetness in the end. Not too heavy, not too watery, one of the better lagers out there.

33 cl bottle - amber colored beer with a small head. Fruity aroma combined with hints of malt. Flavor not as impressing though, bitterness seems kind of, well wrongly placed. Don’t really agree to the choice of hops for the beers flavor here. An interesting beer though.

A blast of herbal / menthol hops greets my nose as I pop the tab on this can. The pour from the can produces a one-finger thick, lightish tan colored head. The beer sits in my large Tripel Karmeliet tulip with a murky amber appearance, that takes on an orangish hue when held up to the light but remains deeply hazy. I shouldn’t have poured the entire contents of the can as the initial portions of the pour were quite clear. The aroma is quite hoppy; it definitely has an herbal hop focus, but there is just a hint of citrus zest here as well. Grassy grain notes become noticeable as do notes of crushed malt and soda crackers. The herbal hop component is a mix of light menthol, clean hemp oil and a fresh cut herbal note.

This has a solid bitterness to it that only becomes more biting through the finish of each sip. Grassy grain and herbal, almost grassy hop notes intertwine. A touch of malt sweetness comes through in the middle and finish, but doesn’t really intrude on the hop focus of this beer. Herbal hop notes that are a mix of notes, none of which stand out nearly as much as the overall herbal presence; touches of rosemary, menthol, green hay, wild flowers and a finish of grapefruit zest. Easily quaffable, but not watery; this has a certain presence / heft from the malt, but is still quite drinkable.

This has a huge hop profile for a traditional Vienna (which of course this is not trying to be), and it is quite a nice addition, the fact that this is dry hopped comes through quite nicely with the vibrancy of the herbal / spicy hop character. This is a really nice beer, a perfect accompaniment to the 106°F / 41°C heat we have here today.
