Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Draft. Pours clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, hops, and hints of raisin. Full bodied with a refreshingly smooth finish. Very good lager.

0.330ml bottle. Nice copper brown color. Light head. Taste has lots of malts, some citrus and nice bitter aftertaste. My kind of beer at the moment.

Six pack from the Majestic on Eastchase. Really dry and really smooth? A little floral , but good.

On tap in Brooklyn. Reddish-brown pour; medium body. Aroma was very hoppy. Flavor was initially very bitter with some malt; later transitioned into a distinct citrus finish. It was all right, but seemed heavy on the hops for a Vienna lager -- a little too much to be considered clean and crisp. Citrus fruit finish was unexpected.

From a 12 oz bottle, poured into a lager glass. Orange, amber in color, not a lot of head. Medium body, lightly malted and hopped. A fairly typical lager.
