Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

I tried this beer on February 26, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario. The beer poured a dark translucent amber colour with a white head which disappates to permanent lacing. The aroma was slightly malty, but had an unmistakable floral hoppiness that was a prelude of good things to come. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour had some hints of malt, but was very hoppy, with some grapefruit like bitterness in the finish. A very good beer.

Strong aroma and flavor. Hopsy taste and just enough kick at the end. A good looking and tasty brew.

Very crisp with a tiny bit more hops on the tongue then most logers, the smell reminds me of a Sam Adams Boston lager, but agin with just a bit more hops.

341ml Bottle: Pours a deep peachy brown, cloudy, and with a decent white head. Aroma of cinnamon rolls, rock candy, floral hops, caramel malts, and yeast. The flavour is spicy and hoppy, nice and bitter, with a very nice caramel sweet malt to balance. Grassy, earthy tones in the aftertaste. Very nice!

This is a very solid beer - nice robust flavor, with an excellent taste of hops. The clear, amber color is impressive, with a nice head. Reminds me of a mix between a lager and an IPA.
