Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

this beer is a clear amber color and has no head. A very crisp malt aroma with light sweetness. The flavor is very heavy with malt and quite a bit of hoppiness on the back end.

Poured a honey color with a medium head that did not fade quickly. Aromas of sweet malts and floral hops. Taste was very sweet with a hint of caramel and wheat. Overall a great lager.

Pours a nice clear copper with small white head that faded quickly. Aroma is piney hops. Taste is a good balance between malt and the slightly hoppy finish. Nice beer I would buy again.

I really enjoyed this vienna style beer. The aroma was malty and sweet but the taste was of high hops and bitterness. The cold aging of the beer rounded out the bitterness giving it a good hoppy finish. All of the Brooklyn beers have been tasty so far, i look forward to exploring more of their flavors.

12 ounce bottle. Nice, citrusy hop aroma - tangy and fresh. A light, yeasty lager - nutty and dry. Some citrus flavor, a little tart and hoppy, not much malt presence. Unusually dry and sour for a lager - an interesting brew. The flavor seems to have changed over the years.

Bottle. Aroma of light fruitiness and wheat cracker. Flavor much the same. Hops always hovering. A really nice beer to chill with, not sure what else to say, but probably the most enjoyable light lager I’ve had to date.

Slighty dry finish to this, great brew though. Easily a session beer. Great taste of hops and malt mixed together nicely. Off to get more!
