The aroma is hoppy and floral with notes of citrus and caramel. The taste is also hoppy and has a good bitterness. Notes of citrus, sourness and some sweet malt. Very hoppy for a lager beer. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 2, 2007 This beer pours a clear dark amber color with no head but does have some spotted laceing. The aroma is very floral and you get some hints of malt and hops. It has a nice initial bitterness which fades rather quickly. There is also some nice hints of fruit which you dont notice untill about 3 or 4 sips. The palate is very smooth and warming, it has lots of hops and some mild hints of toffee which coat your mouth. The duration is very long and lasts for a while. PatMac (17), Wakefield, Massachusetts, USA

The flavor is excellent. Buy more than a six pack of this one.

This is a fine smooth heavy lager, flavorful with hints of sharpness. The color in the glass is burnished gold, with a small-to-medium cream-colored head. Best served very cold. A good beer to drink with lighter meats such as fowl or pork, it can be enjoyed just by itself. LordCrabapple (83), Merseyside, England

Quite exquisite: perfumed, fruity, sweet, bitter. One of my favourite beers, but seems to have disappeared from here. Wretched shame. spacecadet (3), USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 12, 2007 This is what I expect from a lager. Nice golden color, thick white head. Floral, hoppy aroma. Medium toasty, hoppy, malty flavor - really nicely balanced. Dry, bitter finish that just makes me want to take another sip. I could drink this beer all day long.
