Sep 21, 2007 Updated: Sep 30, 2007On tap at Beerbistro. I don’t really like lagers, but maybe I’ve just drank the wrong kind. Nice hoppy aroma, and a taste of hops, fresh fruit and malt. Very pleasant. I’ve since bought a couple of bottles at the LCBO and it worked well paired with a thai red curry.

Sep 21, 2007 In glass on tap. Excellent lager. This has some character to it with a rich golden hue and pleasant hop aroma. A touch more thickness than many lagers with a good balance. Recommended.

Sep 20, 2007 Finally some charcter in a lager. Nice head that stays with the brew. Goldish color and clear. Nice hop smell, crisp and fresh at the back of the mouth.

Sep 20, 2007 12 oz can. Another of my "I haven’t rated this yet???" beers. Golden brown with a huge off white head that disintegrates rockily. Rather hoppy nose - citrus and grass, sweet malt. Light to medium bodied, the sweet maltiness comes through in the flavor, well balanced by floral and grass flavors. Some dry bread notes. Very flavorful, damn pleasant.

Sep 20, 2007 355mL bottle: Clear amber body with one finger tan head and that distinctive cask-conditionned effervescence. Aroma of sweet roasted malts and floral hops. Flavor is rich, robust with peppery notes, resembling ale more than lager. Well rounded, bitter dry finish. Whomever enacted the prohibition obviously never had a Brooklyn Lager!

Sep 19, 2007 Had this on tap. Pours a medium brown without much of a head. The aromas are hoppy, with a bit of malt. Taste is pretty hoppy and bitter, but with a pretty light and watery body. A pretty basic beer, but better than most other basic beers. Has average or slightly below average qualities in every area. Drinkable and consistent, but I’ll only get it if the only other things available are other crappy american lagers.

Crystal clear copper with a lasting off white head.
An overwhelming perfumey hop aroma with a scant amout of malt.
The hop flavor in the beer is just not really what I was looking for. I wish it was a bit closer to neutral. Again, it comes off as perfume for flower petals, with toasted malt in the trail position. Strong bitter finish.
Medium body with active carbonation. and a dry finish.
Cartainly a better option than a lot of beers, but not something I really like to have again.

Sep 16, 2007 bottle. no hops in the aroma but very light malt. more malt in the taste and a litle something else but not much on hops. nice easy drinking
