| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bottle pour...lager glass. This beer is good. Aroma was full, nice, almost sweet, but roasted malt goodness to it. The pour was smooth, nice, with a darker tinged head that laced to the side of the glass as I finished it. Crisp, full body and flavor, with some hops bitterness that seems just right for this beer. Overall, a very good brew. I think I will have a glass Sunday night with our spicy, Greek marinated, bbq’d chicken. phaleslu (557), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Draft. Pours clear amber with a frothy off-white head that hangs around for the ride. Malt, grain, hops, and citrus in the aroma. More flavor than you’ll get from just about anything else with "Lager" on the label, with some enjoyably mild bitterness to the hops. More body than expected, too, and nice smoothness. Just a very good lager that beats the hell out of most of its peers. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2009 heavier body than a lager may generally represent, good full palate, and fluffy mouthfeel. mild flavor but good. I grabbed to have for my fishing trip, wanted a good lager out of the can and it fit the bill rather well. But the best beer (to digress) to have on a boat in the middle of a lake in the middle of nowhere canada, is a bell’s two hearted, bottle. Damn perfect time to have that beer. Pours a dark amber, light brown, clear. Pour creates nice bubbles leaving a full finger off-white head. The nose is of raosted malts, very nice and medium. The taste is full doy, yet thin enough to drink quickly. Again the roasted malts come through, with an even blend of hops. Very well balanced, very drinkable. Great brew. brewslurp (9), Switzerland does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Brought 6 pack back from NYC. Amber color with nice white head. Head stays all the way down with good lacing. Nice sweet malt aroma with floral hops. Very nice balanced taste between malt and hops. Crisp, a little dry and fruity. Fuller bodied than most lagers. Extremely drinkable. Great beer. Craybees (17), New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Pretty excellent, all around. Well-balanced as one could ask for, with just the right hop profile and level of maltiness. The nose and appearance are just about perfect.
