Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a thick frothy white soapy head. The nose is strong with sugar and spice, citrus, hops, and caramel. Strong citrus, caramel, spice, hops and a nice smooth finish. Palate is thick and buttery sweet and smooth. A fine beer.

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a hazy pale orange color with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet with orange and plum fruitiness. Definitely some spiciness but mostly sweet. Flavor starts with some strong spice on the tongue. Becomes sweet like overripe fruit and finishes with a mild bit of bitterness from the hops. Medium body and lively carbonation. Nice belgian that is well balanced.

Pours a hazy straw gold with a ridiculously large head. Amazingly effervescent, strings of bubbles rising like champagne. The aroma is quite belgian, mostly sour light fruit like apple and faint banana and berries, as well as white wine. The flavor is a little tart and fruity, but a bit biscuity and yeasty. Quite an aggressive mouthfeel. Good beer.

Corked bottle.
Pours a vibrant, fluffy gold yellow with a cumulus cloud head of pure white happiness. Nose is honey, white wine, and light cherry. Flavor is tangy, light cherry with sweet bread wrapped in an earthy finish. Full and pleansant mouthfeel. Definite repeat!

Bomber bottle at the Quarry House in Silver Spring, MD. It took a while to appreciate the flavors; I’d just had a cheeseburger and a pint of Dogfish 90 minute IPA. It got more flavorful as the other tastes faded.
