Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bomber bottle at the Quarry House in Silver Spring, MD. It took a while to appreciate the flavors; I’d just had a cheeseburger and a pint of Dogfish 90 minute IPA. It got more flavorful as the other tastes faded.

Bottle from Plano Beverage in Plano, TX. Pours a very nice looking gold with thick off-white head. Aroma of fruit, lemon, berries. Flavoe has Berries, lemon, honey, faint bannana. Mouthfeel is medium-full body with med-high carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable beer! Good stuff!

Bomber from total wine. Golenish pour. Pretty decent sized white head. Aroma will remind you of a belgian beer...yeast hits you, sugar, honey and a slight dose of hops is evident. The flavor is very, very good. Spicy, malty, and fruity as hell. Finishes with a slight hop bite. VERY good.

Golden amber and hugely headed with fluffy white. Aroma finds lemon & florals, a big yeasty backdrop and light funk. Delicate yet forceful. Sharp mouth, heady and hoppy. Incredibly spiced & fruited with banana and golden apple. Full bodied and full flavored. Wonderful.

I have had three bottles of this beer this year, and each one is slightly different. 750 mL from Total Wine in Orlando. It pours a hazy yellow with an energetic white head. Aromatic and citrusy with earthy, grassy tones. This is one you have to taste to believe- hard to describe totally. Flavor is usually citrus witha dry finish. Laces your glass and is very memorable.

GABF 08: Light, hazy yellow beer with a firm lil’ white head. Nose was remarkably tart and yeasty, with straw-like banana/lemon characteristics. Yeasty, cob-webby flavors with firm lemony hops and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Some bitterness shows in the finish. ITs damn grassy/straw-like and that 9% makes it a little on the hot side.

750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy, faded yellow with a huge white head. Nose is of straw, lemon and orange. Taste is funky but sweet with lemon, orange and spice. Mouthfeel is medium and dry. This is not a strong ale but a decent Saison.

750 bottle. Hazy gold. Small white head. Hoppy, spicy nose. A bit malty, very spicy and nice hop profile. A bit alcoholic. Drinkable but not overwhelming. I’ll try another one though!
