Hazy golden inviting color with a short white head.
Smells of lemon and hops.
Wonderful surprise when first tasting. Light, citrus and spice, but finishes with an out of place vanilla and sweetness.
Light on the tongue. Quickly cuts through all other flavors. Lively but not overly intense carbonation.

Jul 18, 2008 wow. this is a beer that I could smell all day long and never even taste. purs a nice head, but qiockly dissipates. taste is slightly tart with orange and other light fruits. This is amazingly good. I think the bottle I have is about 6 mos old, not sure if that helped to mellow things out.

Jul 16, 2008 A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): It’s that infectious kind of hops aroma that just jumps out at you! It’s fresh summer. It’s cut grass. Very nice head and lacing. It’s everything an IPA should be. Malty and so freshly hoppy. Delicate after an initial serious assault. Very impressed.

Jul 11, 2008 Very, very impressive beer. Pours a brilliant hazy gold, with a head that doesn’t last long at all. Lots of citrus on the nose. Taste is so smooth and drinkable and not very carbonated. Definite tastes of citrus, dominated by grapefruit, and other zests. perhaps a little bit of vanilla lingers in the after taste. Will buy again very soon!

Jul 10, 2008 I don’t know where to begin... Beautiful pour; hazy golden and perfect white creamy head. The carbonation lasts throughout the entire beer and is plentiful. I can’t seem to figure out the aroma but there is definitely alot going on. I’ll plaigarize the commericial description as the the beer has a "palate of unusual depth." Jul 9, 2008 Lightly hazy and straw colored with a small head. Mildly sweet aroma, floral with some marshmallow and a hint of spiciness, perhaps clove. Sweet and thick with flavors of orange, malt and black pepper. Noticeable hops. Lingering, flavorful finish.

Jul 6, 2008 I’m not seeing this 92 rating at all. Just did nothing for me. Way to yeasty for my liking. I didn’t even finish the bottle.

Jul 5, 2008 shared 750 ml bottle... pours a light golden with a massive white head. citrus, spice and yeast in the aroma.... this carries through the palate. Excellent Belgian style taste and yeast presence. Medium body, smooth and quite drinkable. Somewhat bitter finish with a kick of citrus. Overall a very refreshing Belgian style ale that is not heavy or strong (even though it clocks in at 9%).
