Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle at the Bloomington Beer Festival. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a thick white head. Aroma had a nice orange rind aroma with undertones of sweet yeast and even a bit of tartness. Flavor had nice yeasty and grainy notes with an undertone of citrus. A slight metallic taste was underlying.

Pours a hazy blonde with a huge head and some lace. The aroma is spicy with some orange and yeasty notes with some lemon rind. The flavor is spicy and mildly hoppy, generally dry with some fruity yeast notes. Tasty.

An unclear golden beer with a small head that dissipates to an egg white looking head at the center of the goblet, with a fair amount of carbonation. The aroma is light colored fruits. The taste is fruity, & peppery that has a very carbonated mouthfeel.

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Valby. Poured and presented by Mr. Garrett Oliver himself. Pours an unclear yellow beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is estery and sweet. The flavor is likewise estery with wheat and fruit. The palate is fresh and dry with a little hops. Overall a good beer.

750ml bottle, Bacchus, Newcastle. Spicy, rich and aromatic. Bittersweet, with cloves and lime in the aroma. Had this after a beer fest session so not really taken enough notes, but, still, superb.
