Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Golden in color with a very appealing heavy white head. Grassy, citrus, and fruity aroma. Flavor is also grassy, woody, spicy bite up front with some lingering alcohol present. Not a very complex palate but is easily drinkable and enjoyable.

From a 750. A hazed slightly oranged/golden pour with a light creamy head. Aroma of yeast dominates. Reasonably dry flavor of fruitiness an almost appleness with a hint of bitter finish (really pretty decent finish). Carbonation is a bit aggressive and a bit thin. Very flavorfull no hints of the abv for me. Very nice offering.

I LIKED THIS ONE. IT’S PRICETAG OF AROUND $8 USC MAKES IT JUST OK. I ENJOYED BROOKLYNS ATTEMPT AT A BELGIUM STYLE BEER BUT FOR THE SAME PRICETAG AS MOST CHIMAYS OR WESTVELETRNE I WOULD RATHER HAVE THE ORIGNAL.

a standard belgian strong ale, it has floral aroma mixed with spice and notes of alcohol. sweet but dry, the cane sugar induced alcohol is present along with the easily recognizable belgian yeastiness. the malt profile is not quite strong enough to distinguish itself from brews in this genre.

C&C 750, props for a nice bottle. Pours into my Karmeliet glass a slightly cloudy gold. Medium, 1" white head, rather foamy. Mildly sweet, yeasty nose, a bit of dust, spicy coriander and light banana. Fairly dry flavor, light dust. Lightly bready, coriander and very light clove, a bit of orange. Medium body, pretty well carbonated. Very easy to drink, and certainly does not become boring to the palate. Very nice!

Orange color, small fluffy head on top that lasts short. Intense yeast, bread and orange nose. Nice super intense very stuffing yeast taste that lasts medium long.Slightly oily finish- but very enjoyable. Good treet!

750ml bottle: This one pours an almost clear, golden color. There was a fairly large white head on it that drops off quickly and didn’t leave much lacing. The aroma is light and sweet. Some notes of spices, yeast, and some lighter fruits. A bit of effervescence of the tongue. The taste is a bit peppery, yeasty, some very mild fruits. Interesting mix. Not the usual dark fruits found in strong Belgians. This one grows on you.

Pours a honey color, with little head but a nice hue, Aroma is fruity: apple, bright and seltzer-like too. Fresh, gin, and lime spritzer. Different. Too high carbonation, bubbly, but not too sticky. Alcohol is apparent. So is white pepper, capsicum, and overripe fruits like the bottom of a sangria pitcher. 8-3-7-3-14

Great hazy gold color with thick white head. Nice hoppy-fruity aroma with some apricot esters. Smooth carbonation is good. The fruitiness fills the body, which ends up coming up short and finishes too sweet for my taste.
