Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Hazy blond coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Hoppy fruity aroma. Full palate bit wattery. Finish is bit yeasty hoppy ending bitter.

Pours yellow with lots of carbonation, white head, and some lacing. Taste is candy sugar, floral notes, and some dryness. Reminds me of a saison almost, I really enjoyed this.

Bottle from miguelmandingo(BA). Nose is sharp yeasty goodness, and a little pepper and lemon zest. Flavor is doughy yeast with a sharp pepper mid-way and then a little xing of booze before a spicy, clean finish. Well-carbonated. Booze is slightly acidic and quite present here. A good brew that loses itself in the booze a bit too much - anyone want to help me finish the rest of the bomber?

As I remove the cage from the bottle, the cork immediately flys off and scared the shit outta me. Bottle starts gushing and I grab a tulip and start pouring. Huge 3 finger white head forms, body is a hazy pale orange. Head retention and lacing were good. Aroma is of peppery yeast and pale malt. There is also some tangerines and very faint alcohol. No hops are detected Taste is similar to smell, peppery and astringent. Straw malt mixes with sour apples. No hops are present and alcohol is there but not overpowering. Mouth feel is good. Carbonation is lively but not too much. Body is light but not watery. Head receded halfway through which was only downside Overall it was good. Semi session able, especially for the high abv. Not my favorite in this style but still pretty good

Bottle. Pours a hazy, light orange color with an extremely large, frothy white head. Aromas of orange, banana, hay, and light dough. Mouthfeel is lively and has a clean start with a lingering finish. Tastes of hay and malt abound, with a citrus finish. A good beer but the Local 2 is better in my opinion.

A: Pours a golden yellow orange color with a nice puffy lively head. There were lots of bubbles rising to the top and the lacing really hung around. The bottle was a real beauty. S: Very nice spicy aroma. Peppers, Clove, and Brown Sugar. Has an aroma of honey buttered yeasty rolls. It really shined here. T: The spiciness really came thru. It was a good combination of sugar and spice. A solid Belgian brew and a great example of the Saison style. M: Medium bodied, Smooth, Creamy, and very drinkable.

I enjoyed this beer courtesy of Tom Suozzo. It had a semi-cloudy gold color with a big foamy white had that had good retention and cling. The aroma was mostly floral and citrus hops, with a strong candy presence. The beer was quite sweet with some underlying bitterness too. It had a good amount of carbonation, was fairly filling the mouth and was fairly dry.

Golden with a tight white head. Floral and fruity aroma with some light spicing as well. Highly inviting. Bubbly mouth. Flavor is lightly spiced, some fruits and floral notes but the 9% alcohol really shows through and kinda kills some of the flavor profile. The finish is full of alcohol fumes. A nice brew, but the alcohol needs to be reigned in a bit.
