Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

IVE HEARD NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS BEER AND THE BOTTLE BEING SIMILAR TO A CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE IS VERY APPEALING . JUST GOT IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THOUGHT IDE POUND DOWN THE WHOLE THING TO THE HEAD, AFTER POPPING IT OPEN I RELISED THAT THATS NOT HAPPENING. THIS BEER IS A CLOUDY YELLOW WITH A SOAPY HEAD. ITS FULL OF FLAVOR MOSTLY A MALTY AND SPICY ROOT VEGTABLE, KINDA LIKE A SPICED CARROT, NOT OVERPOWERING LIKE SOME OTHER BEERS IVE HAD THAT ARE SIMILAR TO THIS ONE (MOST NOTLABLY LA FIN DU MONDE THIS IS LIKE ITS LIGHTER VERSION) NOT MY FAVORITE FLAVOR FOR BEER DONT GET ME WRONG THIS IS GOOD JUST NOT MY STYLE ( IM NOT BIG ON CARROTS). GREAT FOR FOOD PAIRINGS A LITTLE MUCH FOR CHILLING WATCHING THE GAME.

I enjoyed this beer courtesy of Tom Suozzo. It had a semi-cloudy gold color with a big foamy white had that had good retention and cling. The aroma was mostly floral and citrus hops, with a strong candy presence. The beer was quite sweet with some underlying bitterness too. It had a good amount of carbonation, was fairly filling the mouth and was fairly dry.

Golden with a tight white head. Floral and fruity aroma with some light spicing as well. Highly inviting. Bubbly mouth. Flavor is lightly spiced, some fruits and floral notes but the 9% alcohol really shows through and kinda kills some of the flavor profile. The finish is full of alcohol fumes. A nice brew, but the alcohol needs to be reigned in a bit.

Pours a cloudy gold with a frothy head. Smells of sour fruits and a Duvel type yeast. Dry with sour fruits.

From the Bottle at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 26/09/2009 Sour fruit aroma. Carbonation. Big white head. Clear golden coloured strong in alcohol and hoppy with a little bitterness in a crisp and creamy yeasty malt finish.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a Duvel tulip. Poured cloudy gold with an everlasting inch thick head. Notes of banana, doughy malts, and a general fruitiness. Crisp and dry with a nice sting of carbonation. Pretty impressive.

Blurry dark orange beer with a tight and longlasting, large-bubbled head, that leaves a lot of beautiful lace behind. The aroma is fruity with lots of herbs; peach, nectar, apricot, syrup, coriander, clove and honey. The taste has quite a lot of malts, light hops, fruits and yeast. The mouthfeel is a tad too carbonated, but that eases a little when the beer warms up.
