750ml bottle–pours a foamy to rocky tan thin head that retains nicely for a high alcohol beer and brown with deep red color. Aroma is medium malt-chocoalte, musty/yeast, medium fruit, secondary spice hops. Taste is medium malt-chocolate/brown sugar, spice hops, medium fruit, sweet with dryish finish. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark copper color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma is candy sugar, dark fruits, caramel malts, and Belgian yeast. The flavor is caramel malt, honey, dark fruits, and Belgian yeast. When this was cold the carbonation was prickly and a tad distracting. As this warmed, it smoothed a bit allowing some brown sugar and spices to come out. I liked this enough now and look forward to revisiting in a couple of months.

(bottle - corked & caged 750 ml) Dark brown with a dirty looking tan head. Aroma is a lot of dark malts and some spices. Flavor is sweet and fruity with a good amount of raisins, citrus, chocolate, yeast, and spice. Some hops near the end. Very fizzy.

Sample at AleFest Columbus (06/27/09): This brew pours a hazy brownish-amber color with a medium and foamy beige head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma with dark malts and fruits. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, raisins and citrus. Spiced hops are present, as is the alcohol. The finish is rich and fruity with a malt and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Clear dark brown body, big bubbled head; Quite good fruity nose, redbrown aromas, very nice; Huge carbonation in lightly sweet body, pleasant; Long finish with lots of aroma. Quite good and very well made, but nothing more then that.

Dark brown color pours opaque and produces a fluffy light brown head. Hearty lacing surrounds the sides of the glass. Sweet, dark, fruit aroma containing raisins, cherries and even a hint of raspberry. Filling and enjoyable, high carbonation that’s prickly. The Belgian yeast characteristic really pulls through in the flavor combining the rich dark fruits with a sweet, dense malt backbone. Nicely crafted, very enjoyable.
