Bottle from j12601, thanks man! Poured a deep brown color with a 2 inch, thick off-white head that receded to a thick layer and left some sheets of lacing. Strong wheaty aroma with some soft chocolate, honey, a weird cleaner aroma, and some faint spiciness. Smooth, moderately sweet entry with a moderate wheatiness and some undertones of fruit (citrus peel) and a light spiciness (mostly pepper) that finishes with some faint sweetness. Over-carbonated and a bit spritzy on the palate, which didn’t seem to mend well with the style. Average beer, I will stick to Local 1.

Much darker than I expected, a true brown with a large frothy tan head that lasts and leaves lace. Interesting aroma, it’s got sweet, light fruits with a definite belgian yeast and spiciness and just a hint of dark malts. The flavor is also quite light and fruity, with some dark fruity maltiness as well. Mouthfeel quite thin, but suits the style. No hint of he 9% alcohol.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a fluffy tan head. Strong aroma of citrus peel, malts and yeast. Flavor was roasted malts, light citrus, honey sweetness, peppery spice and a mild hop finish. Medium carbonation and body. A really fine brew that goes down easy and satisfies.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby brown in color with a huge fluffy head. The aroma is lightly floral and fruity. The flavor is sweet, caramel, honey, juicy fruits, and a light note of citrus. It has a light carbonation and medium body.

Cork popping unleashed a brief blast of sweet, dark caramel and honey aroma. Quite dark pour. Delicious rich flavor with a good level of carbonation and a velvety mouthfeel. Light notes of citrus on the finish. Very nice.

Very tasty. Had this one last Thursday, part way through my stretch from hell in school, kind of a celebration but kind of an attempt to drown my sorrows. Great beer though.

Bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours coffee in color with an oatmeal head. Smells similar to sun tan lotion - oddly floral. Complex in flavor. Tastes primarily of prune, clove, and salted potato. Original - I’ll give it that.
