Pours a deep ruby red with a three finger fizzy head that persists. Nose is candied sugar and sweet dark fruits. The flavor is a bit sweet and a touch medicine like, with a bit of a sharp mouthfeel. Sweet finish.

Large light tan head of fine bubbles. Settles slowly with excellent carbonation. Fruity and yeasty aroma with some spices and mild sweet malts. Color is a dark crimson brown. A darker beer than I expected. Fizzy in the mouth with more spices (cinnamon), a light roastyness, and a bit of raisins. Noticable alcohol presece that warms as it goes down. Quite the flavorful brew. A tad of sweetness keeps this brew exploding with soft malty flavor. Finishes smooth and malty with a hint of lingering cocoa. Another damn fine brew from Brooklyn.

Cork flew across the room on this one, but no spewing carbonation. Pours a light brown with a huge tan head which eventually recedes. Malty aroma with just a hint of fruit. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Flavor reveals plum, date, caramel, honey and has a definite alcoholic heat on the back-end. Citrus does creep into the aftertaste. Solid and tasty brew.

750. Pours deep dark brown, nearly black, with a humongous head - carbonation is very vigorous. Aroma has dark fruit, spices, honey, some yeast. Flavor contains a nice mix of sweet malts with spiciness; the orange peel comes through, along with candi sugar notes and caramel. The honey lends some dryness, particularly in the finish, though there’s a little sweetness that follows through to the end. A pleasantly dry and sparkling palate. An interesting and well-constructed beer.

Received 750 ml bottle via Secret Santa 2009. Pours a deep semi-hazy amber colored brew with a heavy off-white head that slowly dissipated to a thin ring. Aroma of dark pitted fruits, some figs, a hint of candi sugar, vanilla and caramel malt, Taste is medium to full bodied, some alcohol scent, with flavors of candi sugar, a touch of banana and vanilla. Finish semi-tart, with a nice vanilla and dark pitted fruit aftertaste.

750 ml bottle. Honey and sweet malts on the nose, spicy. Pours a hazy amber with a thick fluffy off white head. Caramelly malty, very crisp, starts out sweet but has a crisp bite and a dry finish. Very nice drinking beer. I’m drinking it with braised lamb shank with wild mushrooms and it is pairing very nicely!

pours a beep brown red with a huge off white head. aroma is up front with citrus peel, lots of orange, candied sugar, malt, alcohol. drinks the same with a smooth sweetness and a fresh citrusy element that works very well. 9% is well hidden and this is very drinkable.

Brown coloured beer with small off-white head and lots of carbonation. Sweet malty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter ending more sweet.
