Bottle 75. A dark amber ale with a huge head, quite cloudy. The beer has a maly and roasty flavour as well as chocolate and even citrus. This beer is more on Belgian style than a brown ale or barley wine, bit disapinted about the low complexity.

750ml corked and caged bottle courtesy of tjthresh. I shared this bottle with my brother in law. Pour is brownish copper, hazed with a nicely formed two inch light tan head. Aroma is spicy yeastiness with dark dried fruit raisin and currant. Some cooking brown sugar near the back. The taste is the sweetish raisin and currant up front, with a nice toasty cocoa and caramel maltiness behind that. The spice of the yeast from the nose is evident in the long finish. Palate is medium, coats the mouth nicely. Just a whisper of alcohol way in the back. Nice one, thanks for sending this my way Tom.

Bottle, chocolate brown pour with good tan foam, nice cherry and raisin aroma but flavor tails off too quickly, cola and fizzy fruit notes, watery finish

An unclear brown beer with a big head. The aroma is sweet, & floral. The taste is the same as the aroma with some citrus. Has a soft drink feel in your mouth. Definitely a lively beer.

Tasting at Hall’s. I asked the girl at the shop what style this was and she said "Malty and Hoppy". Sweet grain scents. Honey and floral nose. Taste is upfront floral that has a chalky finish. Sweet flavors are definitely apparent but don’t stick around long.

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Valby. Poured and presented by Mr. Garrett Oliver himself. Pours a dark brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with flowers and spices. The flavor is caramel, sweetness and fruit. Palate is sweet. Overall a good beer.
