Oct 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a small off-white head. Has a malty spicy caramel aroma with hints of flowers and orange. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with spicy hints and some hints of yeast. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.

Sep 28, 2009 Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Valby. Poured and presented by Mr. Garrett Oliver himself. Pours a dark brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with flowers and spices. The flavor is caramel, sweetness and fruit. Palate is sweet. Overall a good beer.

Sep 21, 2009 Bottle split with Pat, Pwn3d, and Tony. It pours a dark murky brown body with nice head. Medium bodied, with flavors of spice, yeast, and raw wildflower honey from...yes! a local family apiary! Exactly what I was thinking!

Sep 20, 2009 Bottle split with JRedmond & PatrickFannon. Pours cloudy brown, large beige head. Medium to full bodied, some characteristics of a dubbel. Chocolate, spice, yeast, and sweet malts. Still convinced this is a dubbel.

Sep 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours deep, murky brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of sweet fruits, malt, and hints of caramel. Heavy, full body with a thick, creamy finish. Overall, a fantasic Belgian strong.

Sep 19, 2009 This draft brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and a good lacing. The deep aroma was malty chocolate dark chocolate mild hop and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The well balanced extremely yummy flavor contained notes of malt dark malt dark chocolate brown malt and chocolate. A wonderful best in class brew.

Sep 19, 2009 Bottle. Poured a deep brown with a large off-white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, sweet caramel, spice, chocolate, light yeast. Taste is a little more on the spicey side, with some light yeast, citrus, and caramel sweetness. Mouth is relatively light considering the complex flavors. Overall, a good beer, though I think I preferred Local 1.

Sep 18, 2009 750ml bottle. Pours dark brown in color with full foamy brown head. Aroma roasted malt, toffee and light spice’s. Taste caramal, roasted malt and dark chocolate with bitter finsih.
